James E. Dixon, Jr.

Albuquerque, NM

James E. Dixon, Jr., was Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer as well as board member of SBS Technologies, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of embedded computer products.  For eight years before joining SBS in 1995, Jim held the position of Director of Finance, Howden Group America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Howden Group PLC. Howden Group America's subsidiaries, whose combined annual revenue then exceeded $200 million, specializes in the design and manufacture of air and gas handling equipment, defense-related products and food processing equipment. Before that, Mr. Dixon held various controller positions at Westinghouse Electric Corporation from 1971 to 1985.   Jim holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. 

 

Sohel Karim

Newton, MA

 

Sohel Karim is Senior Vice President at Copernicus, a marketing consulting firm advising Fortune 1000 companies.  Sohel has over 20 years of experience and has led strategic studies to identify both B2B and B2C marketing opportunities.  Prior to joining Copernicus, Sohel worked as a Research Associate at Harvard Business School where he published cases and papers on marketing issues including an article in the Harvard Business Review.  Sohel has also spent several years working for Unilever, India, where he held positions in both Sales Management and Marketing Research.  Sohel received his B.Com and MBA degrees from Bombay University and has completed all coursework at Harvard Business School for a doctorate in management with a concentration in marketing.

 

Clare Nelson

Austin, TX

 

Clare Nelson is a business development consultant based in Austin, TX where she founded ClearMark Consulting.  Clare's storage experience ranges from disk drive read/write heads to hierarchical storage management (HSM).  She also developed markets for high-performance network protocols, end-user experience monitoring and enterprise resource planning (ERP).  Clare held technical and leadership positions at ACC/Ericsson; Digital Equipment; EMC2; Dell and SAP spinoff, TeaLeaf Technology.  Clare received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Tufts University.

  

Gene Tremblay

Wayland, MA & Jackson Hole, WY

 

Gene was a founding partner and director of Equity Research and Trading during his 34-year career at Wellington Management Company in Boston. Gene is a trustee of the Murie Center, a member of the NPCA (National Parks Conservation Association), Northern Rockies Advisory Board, and he was a member of the corporations and the finance committees of the Boston Children’s Service and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.  Gene is chairman emeritus of the national Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and an Overseer, Museum of Science, Boston.  Gene has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and was recently awarded the NJIT Distinguished Alumni award. In 1969 he received an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School. In 1972 Gene received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
